These tours have been postponed due to COVID19

The Soho neighbourhood has a fascinating history connected to the Underground Railway. (For instance, did you know that Richard Berry Harrison‘s parents came to Canada as escaped slaves — his mother from Missouri and his father from a plantation in Kentucky?)

On Sunday, March 15, Ariel Beaujot from Western University will lead a walking tour of the neighbourhood that recounts the oral histories from people who came to Soho with the underground railway.

Schedule for Sunday, March 15

1:00 PM: Meet outside the front entrance to Goodwill Industries for the walking tour
2:00 PM: Reconvene back at Edgar + Joe’s Cafe and relax at our free Soho Coffee Social

(Also, be sure to mark your calendars for Sunday, April 19, 1PM, for another historical walking tour of Soho’s hospital lands, by Michelle Hamilton from Western University.)
