Hydro One will be conducting regular maintenance on the electricity transmission corridor running from Buchanan Transformer Station to Nelson Transformer Station. This affects our neighbourhood from the river up to the Nelson Transformer Station.
Hydro One is responsible for maintaining safe clearance between vegetation and transmission lines to prevent unnecessary service interruptions and to allow easy and safe access for our crews. Work along the transmission corridor will include the trimming and/or the removal of trees and shrubs from under and near the power lines, and the clearing of tower bases. Our crews will do their best to minimize any inconvenience for residents and users of the trails and parks located on the corridor.
