Alice Saddy Association adopts Rain Gardens on Waterloo Street

As a neighbourhood, we would like to warmly thank and recognize the Alice Saddy Association for adopting the Rain Gardens on Waterloo Street. Bethany Van Arnhem and her team of volunteers from the Association will be routinely weeding and caring for the gardens: if you see them out sometime, please stop, wave, and express your gratitude for their help in beautifying our neighbourhood!

Rain gardens are designed to mimic nature in an urban setting, increasing infiltration to native soils and removing pollutants prior to releasing surface runoff to the Thames River. (See City of London website for more details.)
